Hug Music school policy

  1. Registration: There is a one-time registration fee of $40. It is non-refundable. Additional family members pay a $25 registration fee.

  2. Tuition payment: The tuition payment is due in full at the time of registration. Tuition can be paid by cash, personal check, money order, or credit card. Tuition will be prorated if students enroll after the school semester started.

  3. Returned check: If a check is returned due to insufficient funds, subsequent payment is required by cash, money order, or certified check within 5 business days from the time Hug Music notifies the student's family. There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.

  4. Withdrawal and refund[All classes] There is a fee of $25 to process a refund. Requests for refund must be in writing. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing of refunds. Registration fee is not refundable. There is no tuition refund for students who enrolled after the school semester started and received prorated tuition. There is no tuition refund for students who enrolled for 5-week package. [Private lesson] Full refund of the tuition will be made 7 days before the first class time; A prorated refund will be given to students withdrawing from classes during the first two weeks of the class. If the student is withdrawing in the third week, a refund tuition of 50% will be given. There will be no refunds after the forth class session. There is no tuition refund for students who enrolled after the school semester started and received prorated tuition. There is no tuition refund for students who enrolled for 5-week package.
    [Group and dyad classes] 
    Full refund of the tuition will be made 14 days prior to the first class time. A refund tuition of 75% will be made 24 hours prior to the first class time. If the student is withdrawing after the 1st class time, refund tuition of 50% will be given. There will be no tuition refund after the 2nd class time.

  5. Cancellation: Hug Music reserves the right to cancel classes not meeting minimum enrollments. In such cases, unused tuition will be refunded or credited.

  6. Student absence& Make-up policy[All Classes] Students must notify Hug Music of their cancelation with a 24-hour’s notice to be eligible to receive a makeup lesson/class. Make-up lessons need to be requested by the students or parents, and need to be scheduled by the end of the semester. Makeup lesson/class is not guaranteed according to availability. Lesson credits will be given if the school is forced to close for emergency reason (e.g. extreme weather) and/or teacher is absent and cannot reschedule the lesson. No makeup class will be given to students who are enrolled in the 5-week package. However, a make-up credit will be honored if the student enrolls for the remaining semester after the package's completion and if the student has notified of the cancelation with a 24hours' notice to Hug Music. [Private lesson] Students taking private lessons and paid tuition for a semester may request to receive up to two make-up lessons (or rescheduled lessons) per semester with a 24-hour’s notice to Hug Music. Students and parents are responsible for being on time for all lessons; lesson time cannot be extended if the student is late. [Group classes] Missed group classes will not be made up. However, students may request to participate in the group that is offered and available on another day and/or time, one time per semester with a 24hour’s notice to Hug Music. [Dyad lesson] There is no makeup lesson allowed for students taking dyad lesson. Students can request to take a group class as a makeup class if there is a seat available (one time per semester).

  7. Staff at Hug Music: Staffs including faculty members at Hug Music, Inc. are not for private hire.
