Overview

The Hug Music Songwriting Course gives young musicians the opportunity to write, create, arrange, and record their own original song—and turn it into a professionally produced recording.

Guided by experienced instructors who are also professional music producers and performers, this program nurtures creativity while introducing the fundamentals of songwriting and music production in an encouraging, structured, and inspiring environment. Students discover the joy of bringing their own music to life while gaining confidence and practical experience in the creative process.

Course Length: 10 weeks (45 minutes per session; once a week)

Ages: 8 and up

Who This Course Is For

This course is ideal for students who:

1

Show a natural interest in songwriting or creating their own music

2

Have favorite songs or artists that inspire them.

3

May already have experience playing an instrument or singing (accepting students at all levels)

(Note: This is not an instrument instruction course. However, students who already play an instrument will be encouraged to incorporate it into their arrangement and final recording.)

By the end of the course, each student will have a fully produced original song—created during lessons and recorded with the support of professional musicians using live instruments. The final track will be delivered in both high-quality WAV or AIFF and MP3 formats.
